On Tuesday, Emmis chief Jim McGivern gave us a nice tour of his sparkling Hudson St. studios, and then brought us up to his newly-renovated transmitter room on the 85th floor of Empire. We're looking out a south-facing window from that room, looking at lower Manhattan. Jim told us that the engineers on Empire usually keep the south-facing windows shaded, because it is still so difficult to look out at where the World Trace Center used to stand.
