This old Continental is the backup transmitter for WCBS. For reasons which I didn't understand, it is necessary to use a tube-type transmitter such as this one (or the 10-kW backup backup) when operating on the auxiliary antenna. This unit can be set up to feed either one, and there's another backup transmitter in the room which goes only to the aux tower. The document hanging on the wall is the old license shown in the previous photo.
