This tower, on the banks of the Pawtucket River in West Warwick, is home to that town's AM graveyarder on 1450. For many years, this station was WKRI playing MOR music and local information. When the 1110 East Providence facility was sold to a Spanish-language broadcaster, its classic country format and WHIM calls moved down here for a few years. Later it spent a while as Radio Disney affiliate WDYZ, until the superior 550 Pawtucket facility came on the market. After brief stints under Hall Communications ownership as standards WHRC and WWRI, things have settled down for now under the WLKW callsign that was associated with standards in Providence for many years before that station became sports-talk WSKO in 2002.
