We've headed down another floor to the WMVP (1000 Chicago) studios. Ironic, isn't it, that WLS and the former WCFL, for so long rivals in the heady days of AM top-40, should now be commonly owned and have studios in the same building? This is one of ESPN Radio 1000's production studios; the equipment is a bit newer than WLS's, and the layout of the board is more like what production prople now prefer. (Since most production work is now done on a digital editing platform, why shouldn't the editing keypad take pride of place?)
