Fort Atkinson is home to one of the few U.S. full-time stations on 940 kHz, nominally a Mexican/Canadian clear channel, WFAW. Unusually, WFAW also has more power at night (550 W) than during the day (500 W). The four towers in a line (on a heading of 226 degrees true) are used for the night pattern; the northernmost of those and the tower to the right (with the FM bays on top) are used at night. Those FM bays belong to a recent 80-90 drop-in, WKCH (106.5 Whitewater), which went on the air in 1997; it's playing satellite-delivered oldies.
The street address of this facility is W4632 Findlay Rd., Cold Spring.
