Still standing on the same spot, I turned around to get this picture (from possibly the only good vantage point) of WBIG (1280 Aurora). WBIG uses two quarter-wave towers during the day (with a whole 1 kW) and three at night (500 W). The tall tower is the former home of Aurora's 107.9 FM, once WBIG's sister station, which has moved again since leaving its initial move-in to Chicago. (Now WLEY-FM, it operates from the top of the WSCR tower off Army Trail Rd. in Glendale Heights, with a backup on top of an office building near the Ike/Tri-State junction in Oak Brook.)
