Having taken the tramway up to the top of the mountain, we quickly pass through the visitor center to get back outside where we can see the channel 8 tower. Unbeknownst to us, Georgia Public Broadcasting maintains a full-time engineering presence up here; if we had called ahead we might perhaps have received a tour.
