Also on Salem Square, catercorner to the Worcester Public Library, is this lovely church, which believe it or not was only constructed in 1928. The parish is “Notre Dame des Canadiens” and for many years served Worcester's French-speaking community (which, as in so many other New England cities, consisted mainly of poor Québecois who had migrated south in search of work at the city's textile mills).
