After KLTX, I went up to NBC to see the studio tour and Tonight Show taping (sorry, no cameras allowed). It's now Tuesday, and my first stop of the day was a site I had seen before: KSPN (710 Los Angeles, the erstwhile KMPC). I knew that Disney was undertaking a complete rebuild of the transmitter plant (and building new studios as well), but didn't know what had happened here since our April visit. My hotel was conveniently located for me to approach KSPN from the back side and get an unfamiliar angle on the three-tower array. This is the corner of Hatteras St. and Bellaire Blvd. (For what it's worth, when I drove around to the front side on Burbank Blvd., I didn't see much in the way of construction, although there was fencing all around the site. The Disney engineers told me later that—other than the fence—construction hadn't started yet.)
