About ten minutes west on Route 15 brings us to a narrow valley and the town of Johnson. The principal attraction in Johnson appears to be Johnson State College, which has a little 200-watt class-A on 90.7, seen here on one of the highest points on campus (which is still 489 feet below average terrain). You'd think with that unfavorable an antenna height, they'd have no problem getting more than 200 watts on nearly any channel, but they have an app pending to move to 89.1 with a kilowatt from the same antenna. (This would have the effect of bumping WYTC-LP at nearby Lamoille Union High; see the next photo.) The deeply unexciting two-bay antenna is a Shively 6812, according to FCC records.
