WRDZ is not too far from the campus of St. Xavier University, home of WXAV (88.3 Chicago), yet another directional micro-A. Despite its small coverage area (or perhaps because of it), WXAV has won a number of awards from the Illinois Broadcasters' Association for outstanding programming at a student-run station.
