Grady was able to show us the former WKOX studios as well, another former haunt of Scott's. When Scott worked at 100 Mount Wayte Ave., there were two stations, both under Fairbanks Communications ownership: WKOX (1200 Framingham) and WVBF (105.7 Framingham). Since that time, WVBF became WCLB, then WKLB-FM, and now WROR-FM, and is now located with its Greater Media stablemates in Dorchester. WKOX has never changed callsign, but the days of its news-talk format are long gone. Running brokered time for many years, under Clear Channel ownership it is now a full-time simulcast of progressive talk WXKS (1430 Everett). The transmitter is still here, of course, although Clear Channel is trying to change that. (Under the new Main Studio rule, there is no need for WKOX to maintain a main studio here in Framingham; it can be anywhere served by any Framingham-licensed station—including WROR-FM, which transmits from the Prudential Tower in Boston. So WKOX's main studio can be co-located with WXKS's at 99 Revere Beach Parkway in Medford.)

Although the two original occupants are no longer using this studio space, three Alex Langer operations do. The Langer Radio Network, a syndicated talk network heard on the 1060 facility we just saw as well as a few of Langer's other stations; WBIX itself; and Langer's WSRO (650 Ashland) all call this building home. The 650, 1060 day, and 1200 transmitters are all located here as well (although 650 is in a container out back, there being no space left inside the building for it).
