Mt. Washington as was

This aerial photo, hanging near the WOKQ/WPKQ studios, shows the summit of Mount Washington on a rare clear winter (or at least non-summer) day, before the fire on February 9, 2003, in which the old WMTW-TV building (below the three antennas at left) burned to the ground. WPKQ (103.7 North Conway) lost power but was otherwise unharmed by the fire; its antenna is the one at right, and its transmitter was and remains in the building at its base. Sister station WHOM (94.9 Mount Washington, run out of Citadel's Portland cluster), located in the WMTW building, was not so lucky.
