Donna spent much of the talk discussing three of her broadcasting heroes: the pioneer Eunice Randall (who was the first woman announcer in Boston, on 1XE/WGI in Medford); John Shepard III, an important early figure in Boston broadcasting and a major early supporter of Major Armstrong's development of FM; and this gentleman, Arnie “Woo Woo” Ginsburg, one of the first radio disc jockeys in the U.S. to openly use his own, clearly “ethnic” name on the air.
