On Saturday, June 28, I went to Lenox, Mass., to see a live broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion from the Koussevitzky Music Shed at Tanglewood. Rather than take the direct route (straight west on the Mass. Pike and then north on US 20), I decided to drive across the top of the state along Route 2 (variously the Mohawk Trail and the “Mohawk Trail Highway”) to see a few stations that were new to me and a few that I hadn't photographed before. The day began foggy and damp, which gradually turned into wet and dim as I drove west, so there are no spectacular blue skies here.
(There is at least one more such trip in the offing, as time constraints did not allow me to see everything.)
