It took a long time to find a map of the Northern Arizona University campus to show me where the mysterious Building 83 was. (Working for MIT, you'd think I would be used to that sort of thing!) The studios of KNAU (88.7C Flagstaff) and KPUB (91.7C3 Flagstaff) are located in this nondescript steel building at the very southern end of the NAU campus—the road to which wasn't even on my map. NAU operates two networks, which simulcast for the NPR flagship news programs; the rest of the day, KNAU and its simulcasts KNAA (90.7C3 Show Low) and KNAG (90.3A Grand Canyon) air classical music, and KPUB and its simulcasts KNAD (91.7C2 Page) and KNAQ (89.3A Prescott) run NPR talk shows. In addition, NAU provides news to the Hopi Foundation's KUYI (88.1C1 Hotevilla).
