These four towers are the night site (and, I presume, the original day site) of KDIA (1640 Vallejo), one of the first expanded-band AMs in the country. They are located on Noble Road, off highway 37 in Sonoma County, behind a locked gate; the Vallejo Sanitation and Flood Control District dumps sewage sludge here (or as they call it, a “beneficial sewage sludge utilization project”). The current KDIA is the ex-band companion to what is now KDYA (1190 Vallejo), although both stations were licensed as KXBT when this facility was granted under the “WJDM rule”, which granted automatic ex-band facilities to AM daytimers which were the only stations licensed to a city of at least 100,000 people. KDYA holds a construction permit to move to this site.
