Here's a telephoto view of our next target, Mt. Uncanoonuc in Goffstown. Identifying these towers is a bit tricky, because the coordinates listed in the FCC database do not match up with reality. (One hopes that this is an error in the database and not the stations operating from locations other than where they are licensed.)
On the self-supporting tower at far left we find Clear Channel's WGIR-FM (101.1 Manchester). The shorter tower next to it I believe to be WGIR-FM's old facility. The cruft in the middle, on the very top of the hill, is all two-way and private microwave, so far as I could tell. Next to a tall communications tower is the tall antenna of Hearst-Argyle's WMUR-TV (9 Manchester), followed by the Saga FM duo of WZID (95.7 Manchester, the old WKBR-FM) and WQLL (96.5 Bedford, an 80-90 drop-in that came on the air about ten years ago under callsign WAEF). In the final cluster of towers we can make out GE's "Boston" Telemundo outlet, WNEU (60 Merrimack, DT 34), formerly Pax WPXB and before that home-shopping WGOT. (Telemundo serves Boston proper via an LPTV, but from here can easily hit substantial Hispanic communities in the Merrimack Valley including Lowell and Lawrence, Mass.) American Family outlet WLMW (90.7 Manchester) was AWOL from this survey.
