After our night in West Bath and our morning tour of Saga's Portland transmitter sites (see the Maine segment of our trip), we returned to New Hampshire by way of Dennis Jackson's eclectic oldies WMEX (106.5 Farmington), whose studios are located in downtown Rochester at 1 Wakefield St. Gary James, seen here, is WMEX's general manager, program director, director of sales, and AM drive host. Oh, and also vice president.
("Eclectic" is a relative term. Most oldies stations have no more than 300 tracks in their entire music library, and may only play 100 or so of these most of the time. Dennis's oldies library contains more than 1,000 cuts, including many regional hits that few commercial stations play.)
