Clear Channel's John Paoli then let us in to the KLAC (570) building. This site was built for KLAC in 1948; one can easily imagine what it must have looked like in its original Art Deco splendor, with glass-block windows and the works. Another Clear Channel station, KFI, recently repainted its classic deco transmitter building, which faces the 5 freeway near the L.A.-Orange County line. This site is much less visible, and has much less Deco detail, so one can't fault Clear Channel for not doing more here.
