The last Tucson tower site is in the not-yet-developed part
of a huge development called “Dove Mountain”, north
of Tangerine Road. The station here is KFLT (830), which was
built here as a new station in the 1980s. KOHT (98.3A Marana)
is somewhere nearby, but I don't have a photo that shows it.
The address of the transmitter building appears to be 3101
Sandra Road. This area used to have more stations, before the
land they sat on became valuable for development; KVOI (690) was
about a mile away, and my map shows something labeled
“Klle-Am” about three miles west on Tangerine Road.
(I'm unable to figure out what this was; the FCC has no record
in its call_sign_history table which could refer to
a station here, and the Google index is polluted with dozens of
garbage sites that export a useless page for every
“point” in the public-domain USGS mapping database.
Can anyone explain what this really is?
