After WXXI moved the AM studios out of the transmitter building and into the downtown studio complex that also houses FM and TV, the old studio space was used for a while by WXXI's radio reading service. The studio is no longer used for anything, but it's still available as an emergency backup location should something happen to the main WXXI facility in downtown Rochester.
