In spite of the housing crash, which has hurt Las Vegas probably more than any other city, new stations are still getting built there—even AM stations. These three towers were not there when we were last through Vegas for the 2008 NAB. They are located just off US 95, north of the Las Vegas city line, on the Las Vegas Pima Reservation, and they belong to Kemp Communications' KMZQ (670 Las Vegas), bringing what passes for a heritage Las Vegas callsign back to the market. (The station simulcasts with Kemp's KMZQ-FM, a Phoenix rimshot licensed to Payson, Arizona.)
