It's now 13:27 and we've finally crawled back out of the tunnel. We're looking straight up the approach to the tunnel, at the future I-93 NB viaduct through the South Bay Interchange. (Gee, I wonder if Benjamin Homel had anything to do with this engineering exercise?) The big yellow launching gantry which has been so much a part of the Boston skyline for the past five years is seen center-right; its work here will be through in a few months.
